Grads & teens
If you haven’t attended a workshop hosted by Heather from Orange Trunk, then you are seriously missing out!! You will want to head over to The Open Trunk Workshop and see what is coming up and sign up for one of them. 🙂 I attended my first , and Heathers first workshop back in February of 2017, and I soon realized there is this whole community out there that wants to encourage and support others in the industry. Heather focuses so much on bringing the wedding industry together to showcase each others talents, learn, encourage each other and make great friendships! Every time I attend one of her workshops I come away with such inspiration and always a new friend or two! There is always a fabulous styled shoot involved so you can add beautiful images to your portfolio, and learn from what the lead photographer has to to teach you as well.
Educataion is a big part of the workshop series as well. There is always a lead photographer showing you how to pose or find the right light with other educators sharing with you how to managing your social media, getting your work published and even how to set up your very own styled shoot to grow your business. See below th e three workshops from 2017 and stay tuned for 2018 in part two coming soon.

What a romantic & fun workshop this was! The images speak for themselves!! We also got to enjoy a sit down meal at that beautiful table setting!!
This workshop was so fun to learn from all the vendors on what they are looking for in images from the photographer in regards to styled shoots. It’s so important that when you are collaborating with other vendors that you showcase their product in a way that is marketable for them as well as yourself! That’s all part of the collaboration process.

Just like the title says, we learned all about table design. What publishers are looking for in submission as well as how to pay attention to the details of the design , how to fold napkins and then we had a fun table designing challenge! I was so excited to have my images from this workshop featured over at Confetti magazine’s blog!
